Masterclass "Performance with HQbird"

We see that HQbird has evolved into a complex solution with numerous features and configuration options, which can feel overwhelming for new users.

How can you be sure HQbird will meet your needs?

For users who want to minimize risk, we're offering a Masterclass HQbird: personalized guided setup and onboarding for HQbird, plus an extended trial period until February 1, 2026, with 2 options: shared masterclass with max 3 participants for US$99, or individual for US$149.

This is a limited offer: only 8 slots are available, 4 of them for Enterprise scenario (1-3 databases on the server), 4 for SaaS scenario (many databases per server, database per client model), also divided for Windows and Linux. See schedule below.

The Masterclass includes 2 remote sessions covering: Session 1 (1.5 hours)

  1. Installation and uninstallation of HQbird. If you're uncertain whether HQbird fits your needs, we'll show you how to uninstall it cleanly. Since HQbird is 100% compatible with Firebird, you can configure it to run alongside vanilla Firebird and switch between them by simply stopping/starting the service.
  2. Proper configuration for Firebird and HQbird. Are you running an Enterprise scenario (1-3 large databases) or SaaS (many small databases)? HQbird offers tailored solutions for both scenarios, including intelligent sweep and maintenance routines.
  3. Monitoring setup. HQbird provides several tools for ongoing monitoring and identification and resolution of performance problems. With different workload types (OLTP, OLAP/BI or mixed) there are different approaches for monitoring.
  4. Performance testing. HQbird includes an embedded speed test to benchmark your hardware/VM performance.
Session 2 (1.5 hours)
  1. Monitoring review and configuration adjustments. Learn how to identify top issues using HQbird's monitoring tools and determine what needs fixing—configuration, indexes, queries, or hardware/VM resources.
  2. Backup options review: full verified backup, incremental backup, automatic backup restore, and cloud data storage.
  3. Review of replication, streaming and cross-databases (ODBC, MySQL) queries.
  4. Questions and Answers.
For optimal results, we recommend installing HQbird on your production server – it is 100% safe and easily reversible. For demonstration we can use the participants’ server or own server.
